Eisenhower Says Farewell as President

On January 17, 1961, in a nationally televised speech, Dwight D. Eisenhower addresses the American people for the last time as president. Expressing ideas that seem prophetic in retrospect, Eisenhower offered his fears and hopes for the future, warning against the unfettered growth of the “military-industrial complex,” as he coined it, and calling for diplomacy, restraint, and compassion in dealing with future crises with the Soviet Union. Despite his sadness that peace was not in sight, the great Allied commander offered a closing prayer to the world from America. “We pray,” he said, “that people of all faiths, all races, all nations…will come to live together in a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love.”

Bicentennial Ike Mint Mark Collection
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1976, the U.S. Mint struck a special one-time-only commemorative Eisenhower Dollar coin.
The coin was struck at both the Philadelphia and Denver mints in Uncirculated condition and at the San Francisco Mint in Proof quality. This collection includes all three coins. (Philadelphia coin has no mint mark.)

"Blue" Eisenhower Dollar

In addition to regular coins for circulation, the U.S. Mint also made a small number of Brilliant Uncirculated coins for collectors in .400 silver. Standard Eisenhower Dollars for circulation were made in copper-nickel. The regular silver coins were made only from 1971-1974. The .400 silver coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition were available only in blue packaging. As a result, these historic Silver Dollars are known as Blue Ikes.

Complete Eisenhower Dollar Collection

This is the complete collection of 32 different Eisenhower Dollars. It includes all 21 Brilliant Uncirculated and 11 Proof coins from all three U.S. Mints (Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco).

40% Silver Eisenhower Dollar Proof Condition

The Eisenhower Silver Dollar was first issued in honor of President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1971. It was America’s last large-size regular-issue dollar coin ever minted with a circulating design, as well as the last regular-issue silver dollar.
In addition to coins struck for circulation, the U.S. Mint also produced a limited-edition 40% silver coin exclusively for collectors. The 40% silver coin was made only at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco and was available only in special sets.

Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar PR66

Proof coins are the rarest of all U.S. coins, as well as the highest quality coins. This coin was struck at least twice on a specially polished coin blank, and the coin press was set at very high pressure. The result is designs that are much more three-dimensional than on circulating coins, and the coin also has a distinctive mirror-like background.
All Proof coins are graded on a 70-point scale, and the coin offered here has been independently graded and certified as Proof-66 (abbreviated PR66) or higher by ICG, one of the most trusted and prestigious coin grading companies.

First, Last & Bicentennial Ike Dollars

The Eisenhower Dollar was America's last large-size Dollar coin ever minted for circulation. It was minted only from 1971-1978 and is a treasured piece of American history.
The coins are the first (1976) and last (1978) Eisenhower Dollars, as well as the one-time-only 1976 Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar.
