To mark the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1976, the U.S. Mint struck an Eisenhower Dollar with a special commemorative reverse design of the Moon and the Liberty Bell to represent 200 years of history from the American Revolution to the Space Age. This amazing collection features one spectacular coin from each of the three issuing U.S. Mints: brilliant uncirculated coins from Philadelphia and Denver, plus the coveted proof coin from San Francisco.
The one-cent piece was one of the first coins struck by the U.S. Mint when it opened in the 1790’s, and it has remained a mainstay of the American economy.
