Over 75 years ago, the most famous battle of WWII began …

75 years ago in 1943, World War II started to turn in the Allies’ favor in both Europe and the Pacific. The Allies invaded Sicily and began the march through Italy to attack the Germans via the “soft underbelly” of Europe. Meanwhile, American forces in the Pacific recaptured the Gilbert Islands and prepared for the assault on Japan.

Today, 75 years later, we can look back with pride and honor to the “Greatest Generation” who fought for our freedom … and this is the perfect time to own genuine U.S. coins from the World War II era and that commemorate the war. But supplies are limited and are rapidly vanishing, so order now!

Sack of 35 Unique WWII Coins

A collector’s dream come true – a custom canvas bag stuffed with 35 “emergency” U.S. coins issued during World War II! You’ll receive 10 Lincoln Pennies that were minted in steel in 1943 to save copper for the war effort … 20 Lincoln Pennies made with copper from recycled shell cases in 1944-1946 … and five Jefferson Nickels struck in 35% silver. The 1943 pennies are the only steel coins in U.S. history, while the Jefferson Nickels are the only silver nickels in history.

Roll of 1943 Steel Cents

75 years ago in 1943, the U.S. Mint made Lincoln Pennies with steel instead of copper. This was the only time in history that the U.S. has issued a steel coin … and this was the coin that helped America win the war by making copper available for the war effort! Most coins were worn out or damaged in circulation long ago, and almost all coins were returned to banks and the U.S. Treasury where they were destroyed. The result is that few coins remain for today’s collectors. This is a complete roll of 50 steel cents in a protective tube.

WWII Silver Nickel Year Set

During World War II, nickel was needed for guns, tanks, and other essential war supplies – so the U.S. Mint reduced its use of nickel to free up this valuable metal for the war effort. Instead of nickel, the U.S. Mint struck nickels in 35% silver from 1942 to 1945 – and this collection features one emergency silver nickel from each year of issue: 1942, 1943, 1944, and 1945. These are the only silver nickels in history, and each coin bears a large mint mark on the reverse.

World War II Workhorse Collection

During World War II, America’s coins served in more ways than just a means of purchasing items.  They actually helped America win the war, and the Pennies, Nickels, and Dimes were the true “workhorse” coins of this era.  This collection brings together three coins issued during World War II: 1943 Steel Penny, 1942-1945 Jefferson 35% Silver Nickel, and 1941-1945 Mercury 90% Silver Dime. Each coin in this collection is guaranteed genuine and has been hand selected for its beauty and collector value.

Raising the Flag – Iwo Jima Collection – SAVE 20%!

One of the most famous depictions of the U.S. flag is the historic moment it was raised by Marines on Iwo Jima in World War II – an event that changed the course of the war in the Pacific and that symbolizes the power of freedom and democracy. The image was used on a U.S. stamp in 1945 and on the 2005 commemorative silver dollar honoring the Marines … and now, both the stamp and the coin are included along with actual sand from Iwo Jima in a magnificent framed collection. A great gift for anyone who loves our flag!
